When I lived with my parents, as a teenager,  my friends and I all had military boyfriends, we were always ìn love.  Our teenage hearts got broken regularly.  I was the oldest so the girls and sometimes the guy would come to me for advice or a shoulder to cry on.  One girl in particular, Caroline, came to me and the advice I gave her remained with her after all these years.......

 Never mind being so sad, cry when you need to, it helps to wash away pain..but just think..there are better things waiting for you, so smile when u can and go find them.". You were my big sis then Donna and I hope you find comfort and hope in YOUR own words. You were right, there was better things and I found them"

She sent this to me last March I was so touched by this.  I hadn`t realized that I had made such an impact in her life by my words.

I want to find that girl, not for the broken hearts of course, just the fun, happy, person she was.

So this is about me and my new life.........single.  Not something I thought would happen, but 10 months ago it was thrust upon me, at the time without warning.  This is not about that it is about me and how I am learning to be......me.

What have I learned in this ongoing discovery about myself?  I think the main thing I am learning is who I am.

I have done a lot of thinking and discovered that I become a person that I think my partner will like.  I make life about someone else.  It has been something I have always done.

So who am I?

Great question, it will take me a lifetime to discover me.  Most of us change as we go through life, it is normal to change.  There are those that are happy though to stay in the same routine, never changing, I do not want to be like that.

This blog is about those changes, the discoveries I find along the way.  Other blogs, craft sites I see, stores I window shop (or screen shop as the case may be), recipes I want to try, books, movies and so much more.

I have no desire to write about why I am single or the two people that made it happen, that is my past, this is about my future

I will turn 56 this year and along the way I will write about my discoveries.
